I was a journalist for many years working in newspapers and magazines as a manager, feature writer and columnist. Seven years ago I discovered there are 16 million single people in the UK and joined Searchmate introductions, running three of their largest areas. In March 2009 I became UK Director.
I am a regular on BBC radio talking about relationships, problems, dating, finding a partner with some celebrity comment thrown in. I have been married twice and live with my husband and two children near Stratford on Avon, Warwickshire.
The views I deliver on radio are known to be forthright and I believe there is someone for everyone - if they open their eyes wide enough when they look out and, more importantly, when they look within.
